Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón is a municipality in the autonomous region of La Rioja in northern Spain. It is located in the district of Haro, at an altitude of 570 metres above sea level and has a population of around 600 inhabitants.
The village is known for its historical and cultural heritage, especially for its old quarter, which has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest. Of particular note is the church of San Miguel, a Gothic building from the 16th century, and the castle of the Velasco family, a medieval fortress that is now in ruins.
Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón is also known for its wine production, as it is located in the Rioja Qualified Designation of Origin area. In addition, the town has a number of wineries and wine cooperatives that offer guided tours and wine tastings for tourists.
As for its natural surroundings, Cuzcurrita de Río Tirón is located in the valley of the River Tirón, surrounded by vineyards and holm oak and oak forests. The town also has a riverside nature reserve, the Parque de la Grajera, which is an ideal place for hiking and enjoying nature.
